    Emmet

    Emmet

    The essential toolkit for web-developers

With Emmet, you can type expressions (abbreviations) similar to CSS selectors and convert them into code fragment with a single keystroke. As a web-developer, you already know how to use Emmet. Abbreviation syntax is similar to CSS Selectors with shortcuts for id, class, custom attributes, element nesting and so on. Unlike default editor snippets, Emmet abbreviations are dynamic and parsed as-you-type. No need to predefine them for each project, just type MyComponent>custom-element to convert any word into a tag. Emmet provides special syntax for CSS properties with embedded values. For example, bd1-s#f.5 will be expanded to border: 1px solid rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.5). Use single abbreviation to produce code for most popular syntaxes like HAML, Pug, JSX, SCSS, SASS etc.

    Faast.js

    Faast.js

    Serverless batch computing made simple

Serverless batch computing made simple. Serverless function architectures are optimized for event-driven systems. Faast.js simplifies serverless batch applications by automating infrastructure, code packaging, invocation, and cleanup. Combine the power of scalable serverless functions with the ease-of-use and familiarity of ordinary async functions. Go from zero to a thousand cores in seconds. Scale back down to zero just as quickly. Faast.js delivers the brute force power of the cloud with the convenience and familiarity of asynchronous function calls. Deploy without zip files. Zero-configuration support for bundling dependencies with built-in webpack support. Use native dependencies, even on AWS Lambda. Faast.js eliminates the friction of using packages with serverless functions. Cost snapshots estimate the cost of your serverless function invocations in real time. For deeper analysis, use the Cost Analyzer to estimate the cost of workloads against multiple serverless configurations.

    FastImage

    FastImage

FastImage, performant React Native image component.

React Native's Image component handles image caching like browsers for the most part. If the server is returning proper cache control headers for images you'll generally get the sort of built in caching behavior you'd have in a browser. Scale the image uniformly (maintain the image's aspect ratio) so that both dimensions (width and height) of the image will be equal to or less than the corresponding dimension of the view (minus padding). Scale the image uniformly (maintain the image's aspect ratio) so that both dimensions (width and height) of the image will be equal to or larger than the corresponding dimension of the view (minus padding). Scale width and height independently, This may change the aspect ratio of the src. Do not scale the image, keep centered.

    FormatJS

    FormatJS

The monorepo home to all of the FormatJS related libraries

Internationalize your web apps on the client & server. FormatJS is a modular collection of JavaScript libraries for internationalization that are focused on formatting numbers, dates, and strings for displaying to people. It includes a set of core libraries that build on the JavaScript Intl built-ins and industry-wide i18n standards, plus a set of integrations for common template and component libraries. For most web projects, internationalization happens in the template or view layer, so we've built integrations with React & Vue. FormatJS is aligned with: ECMAScript Internationalization API (ECMA-402), Unicode CLDR, and ICU Message syntax. By building on these industry standards, FormatJS leverages APIs in modern browsers and works with the message syntax used by professional translators. FormatJS has been tested in all the major browsers (IE11, Chrome, FF & Safari) on both desktop and mobile devices.

    Functions Framework for Node.js

    Functions Framework for Node.js

FaaS (Function as a service) framework for writing portable Node.js

Functions Framework for Node.js is a lightweight runtime library that allows developers to write and run portable serverless functions locally or in cloud environments using standard Node.js. It provides a consistent execution model that mimics Google Cloud Functions, enabling developers to build, test, and debug functions on their local machine before deploying them to production. The framework supports multiple function signature types, including HTTP-based functions and event-driven functions, and automatically parses incoming request payloads into structured objects that can be easily consumed by application logic. It also includes support for CloudEvents, allowing seamless integration with event-driven architectures and modern cloud-native systems. By abstracting the underlying infrastructure, the framework enables developers to focus on business logic while maintaining compatibility with platforms like Cloud Run and Cloud Functions.

    GitHub Pages Deploy Action

    GitHub Pages Deploy Action

Automatically deploy your project to GitHub Pages using GitHub Actions

Automatically deploy your project to GitHub Pages using GitHub Actions. This action can be configured to push your production-ready code into any branch you'd like. You can include the action in your workflow to trigger any event that GitHub actions supports. If the remote branch that you wish to deploy to doesn't already exist the action will create it for you. Your workflow will also need to include the actions/checkout step before this workflow runs in order for the deployment to work. If you intend to make multiple deployments in quick succession you may need to leverage the concurrency parameter in your workflow to prevent overlaps. The with portion of the workflow must be configured before the action will work. You can add these in the with section found in the examples above. Any secrets must be referenced using the bracket syntax and stored in the GitHub repository's Settings/Secrets menu.

    Got

    Got

Human-friendly and powerful HTTP request library for Node.js

Got implements RFC 7234 compliant HTTP caching which works out of the box in-memory and is easily pluggable with a wide range of storage adapters. Got uses Keyv internally to support a wide range of storage adapters. For something more scalable you could use an official Keyv storage adapter. Hooks allow modifications during the request lifecycle. Hook functions may be async and are run serially. Got will make no further changes to the request before it is sent. This is especially useful in conjunction with got.extend() when you want to create an API client that, for example, uses HMAC-signing. You can override the request function by returning a ClientRequest-like instance or a IncomingMessage-like instance. This is very useful when creating a custom cache mechanism. The response object will typically be a Node.js HTTP response stream, however, if returned from the cache it will be a response-like object which behaves in the same way.

    GraphQL Koa Middleware

    GraphQL Koa Middleware

Create a GraphQL HTTP server with Koa

Create a GraphQL HTTP server with Koa. This module includes a TypeScript declaration file to enable auto-complete in compatible editors and type information for TypeScript projects. By default, the koa request is passed as the GraphQL context. Since most koa middleware operates by adding extra data to the request object, this means you can use most koa middleware just by inserting it before graphqlHTTP is mounted. This covers scenarios such as authenticating the user, handling file uploads, or mounting GraphQL on a dynamic endpoint.

    GraphQL WebSocket

    GraphQL WebSocket

    Coherent, zero-dependency, lazy, simple, GraphQL

Coherent, zero-dependency, lazy, simple, GraphQL over WebSocket Protocol compliant server and client. Messages are represented through the JSON structure and are stringified before being sent over the network. They are bidirectional, meaning both the server and the client must conform to the specified message structure. Connection is a connection within the established socket describing a "connection" through which the operation requests will be communicated. The server can close the socket (kick the client off) at any time. The close event dispatched by the server is used to describe the fatal error to the client. The client closes the socket and the connection by dispatching a 1000: Normal Closure close event to the server indicating a normal closure.

    Infracost VSCode Extension

See cost estimates for Terraform right in your editor

Infracost's VSCode extension shows you cost estimates for Terraform right in your editor! Prevent costly infrastructure changes before they get into production. Compare configs, instance types, regions etc: copy/paste a code block, make changes and compare them. Quick cost estimate: write a code block and get a cost estimate without having to use AWS, Azure or Google cost calculators, or read the long/complicated pricing web pages. Catch costly typos: if you accidentally type 22 instead of 2 as the instance count, or 1000GB volume size instead of 100, the cost estimate will immediately pick that up and let you know. See cost estimates right above their Terraform definitions. Infracost's output updates on file save. Both resource and module blocks are supported. 3rd party module blocks are also supported!

    JavaScript Obfuscator

    JavaScript Obfuscator

A powerful obfuscator for JavaScript and Node.js

JavaScript Obfuscator is a Node.js library and CLI that transforms readable JavaScript into hardened, difficult-to-reverse code. It applies techniques such as identifier mangling, string array extraction/encoding, control-flow flattening, dead-code injection, and numeric literal transformations to disguise intent. Advanced options include self-defending code, domain locking, debug/console protection, and property key transformation, allowing you to tailor defenses to your threat model. The tool supports source maps and granular “threshold”/whitelist settings so you can balance protection with performance and debuggability. It works with modern JavaScript syntax and integrates into build pipelines to protect selected bundles or modules automatically. Teams use it to deter casual inspection of proprietary logic, license checks, or anti-abuse heuristics shipped to the browser or Node targets.

    Kysely

    Kysely

A type-safe typescript SQL query builder

Kysely (pronounce “Key-Seh-Lee”) is a type-safe and autocompletion-friendly typescript SQL query builder. Inspired by knex. Mainly developed for node.js but also runs on deno and in the browser. Kysely makes sure you only refer to tables and columns that are visible to the part of the query you're writing. The result type only has the selected columns with correct types and aliases. As an added bonus you get autocompletion for all that stuff. As shown in the gif above, through the pure magic of modern typescript, Kysely is even able to parse the alias given to pet.name and add the pet_name column to the result row type. Kysely is able to infer column names, aliases and types from selected subqueries, joined subqueries, with statements and pretty much anything you can think of. Of course there are cases where things cannot be typed at compile time, and Kysely offers escape hatches for these situations.
