phpSocket.io is a PHP implementation of the popular Socket.IO real-time communication protocol. It enables real-time, bidirectional communication between web clients and servers using WebSockets, with a syntax and structure similar to the original Node.js version. Built on top of Workerman, phpSocket.io is capable of handling thousands of concurrent connections and is ideal for building chat apps, live notifications, and collaborative tools in PHP.

LaravelS is an out-of-the-box adapter between Laravel/Lumen and Swoole. LaravelS uses Swoole's Synchronous IO mode, the larger the worker_num setting, the better the concurrency performance, but it will cause more memory usage and process switching overhead. If one request takes 100ms, in order to provide 1000QPS concurrency, at least 100 Worker processes need to be configured. This project provides 6 new functions to PHP that are meant to interact with a websocket (RFC6455) peer. ws_get_frame_info() - Gets information about an upcoming websockets frame ws_read_frame() - Reads the data of a websockets frame from a client or server ws_send_close() - Sends a close frame to the websockets peer ws_send_ping() - Sends a ping frame to the websockets peer ws_send_pong() - Sends a pong frame to the websockets peer These functions are written in low level C so they are fast when compared with functions that are written in PHP, especially for operations like sending and receiving larger binary files.
