"Doable" sounds good. Long-and-difficult? I'm forewarned. I'll work my way into this and see what I learn before I conclude it's too much effort. I have Flashbug and SoapUI for testing and analyzing AMF calls. I have a proof-of-concept .mxml written by a former in-house Adobe developer that's demonstrated the feasibility of retrieving data from this site without using the site interface. Thanks for your reply. Hi, 1: This is completely out of the scope of the usual use cases for amfphp. But it's doable. you can use the serializer and deserializer from amfphp to generate AMF requests, send them to their server and parse their answers. The best tool for that would be an AIR app in Flex, but obviously if you don't know Flex but know PHP it could work for you. It's a long and difficult job though, I'm warning you. 2: I can provide some support through the forums. Hello, I'm a journalist and somewhat of a PHP developer. I've been trying to get complete data from the State of New Mexico's official transparency portal <http://www.sunshineportalnm.com/sample/#section=BudgetsExpenditures>for a couple of years. We've negotiated with mixed results for full csv downloads. I've used Flashbug and Charles to dig into the code. I've been provided a proof-of-concept MXML script by a former in-house Adobe developer that demonstrated the ability to retrieve data, but didn't have resources to pay for ongoing development. What I need is to use a PHP server to retrieve and translate AMF files from that remote server. I have full control of the PHP server, and no control over the server on the other end. Question: is AMFPHP a viable tool for this requirement? Question 2: Does anyone here want to correspond with me further about this challenging scrape project? I can explain the journalistic reasons we need to retrieve the raw data. Short answer is, it's public data, and we need to analyze it outside the Flash interface. David Collins |

Hi
i am a long time user of amfphp for all my projects. Just recently i noted
something...
My projects no longer throw back exception messages to flex client in
onFault handler.
Firstly: trigger_error ("Query Failed !", E_USER_ERROR); this method does
not work at all...
Secondly: throw New Exception("Error message") also does not invoke the
fault handler. Rather i get this:
TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert
Object@5f18089to mx.messaging.messages.IMessage.
I am stuck. Please help!

Hi everyone, It’s been a long time coming, but it’s here. The first release candidate came out in June. Since then there have been quite a few bugfixes and enhancements. A lot of this was in reaction to the feedback from the community, so a big shout goes out to everyone who took the time to help us make this the best release of amfPHP yet. Get it here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/amfphp/files/amfphp/amfphp-2.0.zip/download >From the changelog: AmfPhpGet plugin, for requests just using GET, and cross domain AJAX calls config shared between plugins support added switch to return or not error details, and support for custom error messages service browser design support for multiple plugin folders plugins can now add services The amfPHP team |

just putting my point here , why not use zendamf, as its done by same developer modification of amfphp code to support zend and its services just works mostly like same u need to work for gateway file. now we have its browser too, its supported by adobe with flash builder and u could use it as individual or with zendframework. I have wrote code generator which genrates zendamf base services as crud for php propel crud you just need put that into FCG and it would give u whole crud flex code , this if someone need let me know I just added in google code ________________________________ From: Dnk <d.k...@gm...> To: "amf...@li..." <amf...@li...> Sent: Tuesday, April 26, 2011 2:56 AM Subject: Re: [amfphp] update on the amfPHP project On 2011-04-25, at 11:55, Antoine Polatouche <an...@ja...> wrote: > > > Le 25/04/2011 19:30, Jacob Steinberger a écrit : >> Is this a fork? > or a fake ? > > Nothing here about that: > http://amfphp.org -> > http://amfphp.sourceforge.net/ > > Touché. Hi guys Nice to see someone is behind this project, kudos to all you and keep the good work ! Ok, I have tested this alpha release in a couple of common environments and get errors. hi, Wade is no longer running the project, as his blog post says. It's been picked up first by Danny Kopping and myself, and later silex labs in general. Regarding amfphp.org and amfphp.sourceforge.net, we just haven't updated the content there yet, but it's in the works. Regarding the status of this mailing list: There isn't a plan to create another one, so if you have a use for the mailing list, please use it. I think this list is still useful for communication within the community, announcements etc. However if it's for help I advise you to use the forums.
