Hi! For now if one has got a SCSI-CDROM he can't use Devil Linux with it. We already have the scsi modules in the inital ramdisk, correct? So why don't we define a way a user can specify which scsi driver to load during boot? I suggest creating a file /etc/initrd-modules which the whole list of all scsi modules, initaly each line commented out with '#'. This way the user just needs to uncomment the line, eg. aic7xxx if he owns an Adaptec SCSI controller. Comments? -- MfG / Regards Friedrich Lobenstockk |

Hi guys and gals(any?)! I would like to know how you think about this: Either everybody uses TAB to format the sources of our build system or it's a total chaotic code if different developers are working on one and the same file. I would suggest to use a tab width of 4 chars. -- MfG / Regards Friedrich Lobenstock |

Hi! Can anybody tell me how many megabytes of the RAM-disk are used when one installs all packages. Because of the limited resources I have at the moment I can't test this situation. -- MfG / Regards Friedrich Lobenstock |

This email is to inform you of release '4.0.2' of 'Shadow' through freshmeat.net. All URLs and other useful information can be found at http://freshmeat.net/projects/shadow/ The changes in this release are as follows: This release resolves many fuzzy translations which may cause problems on displaying long UIDs and GIDs, allows the use of "$" on the end of usernames for the creation of machine accounts for samba, and fixes a small but ugly bug in configure.in in libpam_mics library detection. Project description: The Shadow password file utilities package includes the programs necessary to convert traditional V7 UNIX password files to the SVR4 shadow password format, and additional tools to maintain password and group files (that work with both shadow and non-shadow passwords). If you would like to cancel subscription to releases of this project, login to freshmeat.net and choose 'home' from the personal menubar at the top of the page. You'll be presented with a list of projects you're subscribed to in the right column, which you may cancel by highlighting the project in question and clicking the 'delete' button. Sincerely, freshmeat.net |
