OK, I gave OpenSSL 0.9.8 a try. A few packages aborted, so I upgraded them one by one to their latest versions, and now everything compiles. I thank you for your nice attitude :)
Well if I can be any help please let me know ...
Main reason I am asking about this: I think dl can be a great platform
for a specific service (samba, or lamp box).
Now I am puzzling how to support well sata disk, that are becoming so
common.....

In order to add support for madwifi somebody actually has to sit down, do it and test it. I'm extremly busy right now and it doesn't look to great for the others either. Not to speak of that we don't have any hardware to test with anyway. The DL build system is very straight forward, if you're familiar with linux and compiling sources, then it shouldn't be too hard for you to get it working. I'd say give it a try and send in the patches once you got it working. ;-) -- Regards Heiko Zuerker http://www.devil-linux.org |

Didn't I check in the changes to get IDE CF disk support working? What change did you have to perform? What 'command' are you talking about? > I have downloaded the source for busybox 1.1.3 but I need the ".config" > file. Why do you want to recompile busybox? We do not support any modifications to DL which do not involve the use of our build system. - -- Regards Heiko Zuerker http://www.devil-linux.org -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.4 (GNU/Linux) iEYEARECAAYFAkTbVJkACgkQUcytMSbs+YUXSwCgiyHdpiNBcZ4P9sifngtxUbw6 fAAAmwV7gdLMFhVqdfChV9pU59dS16wi =ZkfM -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |

Hallo.
I am new in Devil-linux.
I have two problems I would like to fix I version 1.2.10.
=20
1)
Some times (1 out of 4) I get a oops (segment failed) from
the kernel in the boot process.
This happens in initr : linuxrc line 192 (mount usb).
This must be a error in busybox 1.1.3 or the kernel.

2)
I wont to move a iso9660 image to a flash IDE disk.
I have modified mount_cdrom (in initrd) and the partita ion
is found, but the "command" pre_init (line 400) in linuxrc (in initrd).
=20
I have downloaded the source for busybox 1.1.3 but I need the ".config"
file.

Best regards Poul-Erik Hansen.

ebtables does not got installed into cdtree even if it is selected when make menuconfig. This is because script build/scripts/ebtables passes BINPATH instead of BINDIR when install ebtables to cdtree. It also does not pass other necessary env variables. Another problem is ebtables Makefile uses value of BINDIR, SYSCONFIGDIR to generate incorrect /etc/init.d/ebtables and /sbin/ebtables-save because BINDIR point to build/tmp/ISO/cdtree/sbin. Attached ebtables.patch.bz2 patches build/scripts/ebtables to apply patch to ebtables' Makefile and to pass correct env variables to ebtables' Makefile when install ebtables to cdtree. Attached ebtables-v2.0.8-rc2.patch.bz2 patches ebtables' Makefile. The new Makefile have two new variables so that /etc/init.d/ebtables and /sbin/ebtables-save can ben generated correctly. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I haven't had time to look into this yet... I'm not 100% sure, but I think this is related to the Kernel wifi support. -- Regards Heiko Zuerker http://www.devil-linux.org |
