Hi Marc, does this imply that a new registration with the new mailing lists is required? Or does this happen automatically? Best regards, Radek Zitat von "Marc R. Dear mailing list subscribers, we're currently in the process of streamlining EclEmma/JaCoCo development infrastructure a bit. The SF forums and mailing lists will therefore move to * ja...@go... for JaCoCo and EclEmma users * jac...@go... for JaCoCoand EclEmma Developers This mailing list will become read-only soon. Best regards, -marc |

Hi Evgeny, > But for this I need commit rights ;) Sure, can you please check again? > Why you don't consider movement into Eclipse as a solution for all > questions regarding infrastructure? Eclipse is not only about infrastructure, it's also about dev processes and legal issues. Currently I don't see a chance to handle the latter. I think with github we get great technical infrastructure with less effort and at the same time keep the project open. > We could host website and downloads in GitHub instead of Amazon. Definitely! I'm not aware about this option can you please give some pointers? We need to rework the publishing process anyways as it currently depends on SVN to get the site content as well as the EclEmma documentation. Maybe in future we could also integrate JaCoCo documentation. Cheers, -marc On 27.08.12 07:14, Evgeny Mandrikov wrote: > Hi Marc, > > No problems with Git for release procedure. Hi Marc, No problems with Git for release procedure. But for this I need commit rights ;) And some comments: - Why you don't consider movement into Eclipse as a solution for all questions regarding infrastructure? - +1 for Google Groups - We could host website and downloads in GitHub instead of Amazon. Hi all, as discussed earlier I want to move with EclEmma/JaCoCo to Github due to the poor performance of the SF infrastructure and the fact that they will shutdown Trac this year. I already created the necessary infrastructure at Github: https://github.com/jacoco Here is a list of steps for the migration: https://github.com/jacoco/jacoco/wiki/GithubMigration As a first step I migrated the JaCoCo part of the SVN repository (at revision 1729) with svn2git and pushed the repository: https://github.com/jacoco/jacoco Please let me know if you see any issues with the converted repository. Otherwise I would like to continue JaCoCo development on Git and adjust documentation accordingly. Also Evgeny, are you fine with the GIT repository for the release procedure? Best regards, -marc |

Hi Evgeny, one thing I wanted to change since some time: The display name of our EclEmma update site should be "EclEmma", not the plugin id. I also changes the packaging type to eclipse-repository in favour of the deprecated eclipse-update-site. Would the attached change be ok for you? Cheers, -marc |

Profile "e3.5" enabled by default and works fine for me. And I also tried after removal of osgi artifacts from local maven repository in order to avoid caching. Could you please try the same? Just remove following folders : - ~/.m2/.cache/tycho - ~/.m2/.meta - ~/.m2/p2 Additional questions include : do you use proxy? can you access http://download.eclipse.org/releases/galileo/ from Eclipse ? Hi Evgeny, hm, somehow Eclipse banned me from their update site: When I run with "-P e3.6" eveything is fine. But with "-P e3.5" I get the IOException. I tried from different networks. Hi Evgeny, since today I'm unable to build EclEmma. It looks like a problem with the galileo update site: ... Caused by: java.io.IOException: http://download.eclipse.org/releases/galileo is not a valid repository location. Can you please check on your side? If it also fails we should probably open a bug at eclipse.org. Many thanks, -marc |

Hi all, JaCoCo 0.5.9 has been released and available for downloading from site. And should be available from Maven Central repository in few hours. Enjoy! -- Best regards, Evgeny Mandrikov aka Godin <http://godin.net.ru> http://twitter.com/_godin_ |

Hi Evgeny, so I would go for a JaCoCo release. At least 3 users have reported a problem with 0.5.8 and I can also reproduce the issue. I think the next dev version should then be 0.5.10-SNAPSHOT, I wouldn't increment to 0.6.0 now. Hi Marc, If you think so, then I'll do release immediately. But this version will not be incorporated into Sonar 3.2, because we already in RC-phase. I created ticket for 3.3 - http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/SONAR-3701 So I think that decision is up to you ;) On Thu, Jul 26, 2012 at 1:57 AM, Marc R. Hi, over the last two weeks I tracked down another Java 6/7 stackmap frame issue. It turned out that Eclipse produces unexpected frames in certain cases, see http://bugs.eclipse.org/385593 These extra frames cause JaCoCo to emit duplicate frames which in turn makes ASM produce broken class files. Question: Do you think this fix justifies another JaCoCo (and subsequent EclEmma) release? Cheers, -marc |

Thanks! From my current understanding it will affect users using certain class files of version 6 and 7 if compiled with ECJ (which is the case if you work with the Eclipse IDE or run Tycho builds). Users with Java 6 target do have the "splitveryfier" workaround, for Java 7 users there is no workaround except excluding these classes from code coverage. Java 5 class files are not affected, as this version has no stackmap frames. Hi Marc, Sure - will do immediately. How do you assess this bug? i.e. how often it may occur? Can it affect Java 5 / 6 users? On Sun, Jul 22, 2012 at 1:17 AM, Marc R. Hi Evgeny, may I ask you to create a JaCoCo Snapshot build? I added a fix for another weird Java7 stackmap story and want users to re-test their scenarios. https://sourceforge.net/tracker?func=detail&aid=3543758&group_id=177969&atid=883351 Many thanks, -marc |
