It has been anounced that the UK will be implementing the NHRN part of the FMD DataMatrix code. This will allow the product pack details to be linked to the UK on-line prescription system. At present this data is optional and no data link to on-line prescriptions exist. To prepare for HHRN data 2DFMDBarcodeCreator now reads and writes NHRN data to FMD barcodes. It also has the option to place production date information as an alternate content to the NHRN. We have come across production date information in FMD barcodes.
