Multifreq Applet News

About a year ago when i got my first dual-core laptop i found out there was no convenient way to monitor and control the frequency and load for all cores at once. The only possible way back then was to run multiple instances of the single core monitoring applet.

Motivated by the thought to only have one applet wasting ressources instead of two i began to work on the original applet called emifreq-applet to get it to work on all cores at once. Without much effort it was possible to convince it to monitor and change everything for two cores but for any number of cores i ran into some problem which kept me from releasing new versions.... read more
