restore window position and sizie
Serial and TCP terminal for engineering and debugging

Hi,
for me it would be appreciated if realterm could save the last position on the desktop (x,y) and the main-window´s size when I close the application.
Normaly I have the main controls visible, but I have to compress the main window horizontally. (changing the complet size by the scale factor is to hard for my eyes)
Perhaps you could integrate automatic storage of window´s position and size - so that realterm appears next time as it was closed.
thank you, Tomas
Would probably want to save window size, posn and scaling.
What about the window modes (min-terminal, stay-on-top, hidecontrols etc)?
The window modes don´t do the job. I´d like to have the whole setting of window position on the screen & the window´s horizontal size restored on next start.
My question is whether it should only save/restore the size and position and scaling (an always start as normal mode,
OR
it should also restore the window modes (like stay on top, hide controls etc)
The problem with restoring just as it was left with all special modes, is that it might not be obvious to the user why the controls are hidden or why it stays-on-top
Ah! I see. For my purpuses it would be enough to save only position, size and scaling - and start in normal mode.
But I could imagine it was a great feature for others too, if the there was another switch in section “misc“ or “display“: restore all settings on restart.
Greetings, Tomas

3.0.1.41 has params WINX, WINY, WINW, WINH so you can start it the way you want.
4.You can put them in one of the new Macro files to be auto loaded (not auto-run yet)
3.0.1.43 has working winx,y,w,h params and Realter_Always.ini autostart file
