Unfortunately Printers+ isn't 32 bit compatible at the moment, as the back end control modules weren't included in the licence, so converting them hasn't been possible. You should of been supplied a copy of 'Pop-up' Printers with your Iyonix which is 32 bit compatible. This is basically the same apart from the networking support. If you don't have a copy it is available on www.iyonix.com. Regards Ian K -- There are 3 mailing lists for Printers+. An announcements list, a users discussion for the use of Printers+ and a development discussion list. You can subscribe to any of these lists at: http://sourceforge.net/mail/?group_id=71687 You report bugs to http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=71687&atid=538622 Or request a feature http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=71687&atid=538625 |

Dear All, I have down loaded Printers+ 1.91a but when I try and run it I get this error message. Is there a simple way around this? I am trying to get printing to work a little better for me on the Iyo. Charles -- 020 8949 0708 / 079 5620 0176 |

Hi, My IPP (Internet Printer Protocol) device driver module is available to download. You can use it to print to network printers and servers directly from RISC OS using the PostScript printer drivers. Using CUPS on a UNIX server, you can use the Gimp-Print drivers from even very modest RISC OS hardware. You can get it from http://www.davel.me.uk/riscos/ Cheers, Dave |

At the last Wakefield Show, in a discussion with Castle's JL, he expressed the idea that the major printer manufactures ie Canon, Epson HP etc were collaborating on some common aspects of driving them. This to me sounds somewhat unlikely but I assume he knows something. Would !Printers developers find out what there was in this? and how may it affect development? -- Kind Regards, Grant Randall <gra...@nt...> Yorkshire, GB http://homepage.ntlworld.com/grant.randall Randalls Home Page During shift periods, I may be slow to reply, please bear with me... |

Hello All We would like to get a better picture of what you would like added to Printers+. All your suggestions are helpful particularly the ones you feel are most urgent. Please bare in mind that we aren't able to improve the mechanism that communicates with the individual printers only the control mechanism. you can ether post a feature request by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?group_id=71687&atid=538625 Or post it here so it can be debated. Regards Ian K (Developer) |

Printers+ 1.91 is functionally identical to the previous version 1.90b4 released through RISC OS Select, but is being released as a common starting point for open source Printers+ development. Sourceforge.net --------------- Printers+ is hosted as an open source project on SourceForge.net. SourceForge.net provides the ability to track feature requests and bug reports for hosted projects, and the Printers+ project will be making use of these features.
