Feature request 2113452, ROT-13 visual privacy, has been implemented at last! I was never quite happy with the way privacy mode was implemented before - by turning the font white - because it depended on the default visual style of the window. Now when you select the "Mask text" option, the text is encoded via the ROT-13 cipher, which should be enough to keep anyone from looking over your shoulder, and gives the added bonus of visible text as a cue.
