This project is Xubuntu with Chirp-daily (6Feb14 at present) installed. It is designed to provide a known working software to load or otherwise troubleshoot loading of any radio supported by Chirp. The LiveCD can be written to a CD (as intended) or to a USB flash drive. If you plan to use it on a regular basis, the "LiveUSB" offers distinct advantages.
Instructions for making the LiveCD and LiveUSB are in the READme.txt file on the Files page and are also displayed on the Files page.

I downloaded the Chirp LiveCD iso file and created a bootable CD. I booted the computer with the live CD. Next I connected my Yaesu FT857 to the computer and downloaded the radio memory. I changed the incorrect 60 Meter channel in memory to the correct frequency and uploaded the result. Now I have the correct channel frequencies loaded for the 60 Meter band. The Yaesu software does not allow these frequencies to be changed so thanks to CHIRP I have success!
