Droid Overlay

Droid Overlay is a package manager and software repository for Google Android™ operating system. This project provides set of Arch Linux packages and means of their chroot-less installation on your device. Graphics and other advanced features are not supported yet.

Features

Linux in Android without chroot
ARM builds of many base packages
Ability to install unmodified Arch Linux ARM packages in chroot
No need to install full-blown Linux distribution — only necessary programs
FHS-compatible file tree, not overlapping with Android file hierarchy
Up-to-date PKGBUILDs of C and C++ cross-compilers
