Heat exchangers performance monitoring in industrial plants. The software, developed in visual basic 6, has the capability to input design and actual operating data and compute the water fouling base on meccanical and physical data of the exchanger.
The program can bu used for coolers, condensers and exaust steam condenser.
The program has inside already several fluids for which are calculated the phisical characteristics as conductivity, heat capacity, density, viscosity and latent heat and condensing temperature specifically for steam.
All data are recordes in the database. The program provide very useful tools:
- graph behaviour from a single parameter up to all parameters toghether for comparison.
- it is provided the possibility to show the graph for the plant or restricted to a specific cooling tower or a single unit.
A list of all data is also provided.
Some instructions are included in the main menu.
Improvement needed is mainly the building of distribution package
