NiceScrollbars

This Javascript library allows you to replace operating system dependent scrollbar elements with something that you can fully style using CSS rules while you still get the standard, usual behaviour on different platforms like desktop computers, smart phones and touch screen based tablets.

Library supports <DIV>, <TEXTAREA> and multiple <SELECT> elements.

Features

supports: DIV, TEXTAREA and multiple SELECT
version available for Prototype API and jQuery (under development)
supports touch screen (provides usual behaviour, finger based content drag&drop) - not only mouse based browsers
tested with IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome
scrollbars can attach (inside or outside) automatically to its target element - or not, its up to you
fires custom events - you can observe and react for
provides you access to the representant DIV structure - you can manipulate (e.g. reorder buttons...) what NiceScrollbar creates
