Samizdat is a toolkit for Java for building Kerberos secured distributed, message-oriented applications. The toolkit contains base classes that simplifies the management of Kerberos login contexts as well as flexibly sign and seal messages between principals using the Java GSS API. The toolkit contains Transformation classes for Kerberizing JMS traffic as well as a super-lean HTTP based protocol stack that supports both Synchronous (RPC) and Asynchronous modalities.

Project Samples

RPC Servers use a Kerberos Keytab and Properties files for all deployment Configuration. This demo server is accepting RPCs from 'jrd' and rejecting access from 'krishna' ; The ACL is a simple Properties file. An Kerberos Authenticated+Encrypted RPC Server can be setup with less than a dozen lines of code. RPC Clients are also very simple, you can configure clients from Properties files, or explicitly using the API. This shows an RPC client being run twice. In the first case, it's setup to authenticate as 'jrd', in the second case, after editing props file, it tries logged in a 'krishna' and is rejected by the server. Simple API lets you Launch a Kerberized RPC Server with very little complexity
