It uses Thinlet to supply an easy way to add graphical user controls to your bash scripts.

It originally were made to facilitate access to ddccontrol utility for quick access to the brightness of my screen (unfortunately, standard gnome applet doesn't work for me), but seems it may be used for another purposes.
