Corrupted my windows files, changing every "£" into "?". This was probabably because of the lack of a way of detecting or setting my ISO 8859-1 or Windows 1252 encoding, so the 163 characters looked spurious. There is also no facility for multi-line replace. FAR "Find And Replace on SourceForge, overcomes this problem.
