tkgifviewer is an image viewer to open and manipulate images, especially animated GIF images. tkgifviewer has two operational modes, One is an image slideshow, showing one image at a time from those specified on the commandline. It will show (animated) thumbnails of images if started in thumbnail mode. It is possible to manipulate the animation time of the GIF images. Moreover it is possible to execute operations on images like Move File, Create Link, Delete File, and so on. For user convenience tkgigviewer can open and display other image formats.

Furthermore this project provides the Tk package tkimagewindow which can be used in your own application for displaying animated GIFs (and other image formats).
