UnknownDevices? is a small utility that was written to provide computer technicians with a simple way to identify those "Unknown Device" devices that show up in Microsoft Windows after a fresh install. This utility is licensed to the general public under the GNU GPL2 license and is free to use for any purpose so long as the license terms are met. Please report any possible violations of the GPL2 license with regard to this project to the lead developer, NOT the FSF or GNU.

The program is interesting, but it is extremely difficult to understand which device in the list is an unknown device. It shows the whole list of devices, and by exclusion method it is of course possible to understand which device is unknown, but then you need to know all the devices on your computer.
