Vim Bootstrap makes it easy to learn a new editor, focus on learning how to use it and leave the configuration to us. Is a refactor, and sometimes redactor, in the tradition of Vim (which itself derives from Stevie). It is not a rewrite but a continuation and extension of Vim. Many clones and derivatives exist, some very clever, but none are Vim. Neovim is built for users who want the good parts of Vim, and more. Vim is a highly configurable text editor built to enable efficient text editing. It is an improved version of the vi editor distributed with most UNIX systems. Vim is often called a "programmer's editor," and is so useful for programming that many consider it an entire IDE. Put your focus on one thing at a time, when we focus on studying a single thing we accelerate our learning. Created and maintained by a community that uses the Neovim/Vim on a daily basis.
