WinDOS is a CLI operating system using a DOS-like environment. WinDOS X is a version of WinDOS extended by a graphical user interface.

- Uses an automatic drive letter mapping system (known from DOS and Windows) instead of complicated mountpoint system used in Linux.
- Uses Windows filesystems (NTFS/FAT32) for C: drive.
- Keeps Linux system directories hidden for better orientation in the filesystem.
- The project's goal is to develop such a Linux system that will be clear and usable for an ordinary Windows user.
