I have patched wordpad, the free easy wordprocessor which comes with Windows XP. Colouring texts, increasing or decreasing characters ('Ctrl-Shift-,' and 'Ctrl-Shift-.' resp.), fast access to tabs (Ctrl-t), to page settings (Ctrl-Shift-c), and so on.

    This is a front end to the Microsoft Rich Edit dll that provides a number of new keyboard shortcuts. Unfortunately the program's GUI and the help file is in German and I cannot find a setting for English in the options dialogue.
