This is but a week old and already implements the most important aspect of a volume control, which is to say, it controls the volume of applications. While it's definitely in a rough state, the potential is there, and while I don't think the UI should be an exact replica of pavucontrol, CDE is desperately in need of a modern volume control application, and if this got close to feature-parity with other PulseAudio control programs, I can see this becoming the go-to program.
