Companies that need a simulation software solution

About Arena

Take the guesswork out of your decision making. Move confidently forward using Arena software. Simulation software is the creation of a digital twin using historical data and vetted against your system’s actual results. Arena™ Simulation Software uses the discrete event method for most simulation efforts, but you will see in using the tool that we cover areas in flow and agent-based modeling as well. Evaluate potential alternatives to determine the best approach to optimizing performance. Understand system performance based on key metrics such as costs, throughput, cycle times, equipment utilization and resource availability. Reduce risk through rigorous simulation and testing of process changes before committing significant capital or resource expenditures. Determine the impact of uncertainty and variability on system performance. Run "what-if" scenarios to evaluate proposed process changes.

"Best Simulation software in the market"

    Posted 2020-06-02

Pros: 1) Easy to use. The drag and drop modules and connections are pretty self explanatory and trumps other other softwares in this aspect.
    2) Can be used to model any situation. If you can think it, you can model it.
    3) The help section has a lot of literature and anyone with a basic understanding of simulation can use this.
    4) Used widely in many industries and institutions.
    5) Ability to export data into an excel which we can further analyse the system and gain insights.

Cons: 1) Reports could be more informative. Ability to customize reports could be provided.
    2) 3D animation needs a lot more work - both in terms of feature and basic system requirements.
    3) Faced issues in terms of having 64-bit Arena with 32-bit MS Office.

Overall: In case you ever think "What-if" or want to try out scenarios without disturbing the real world systems, then this software is for you. The ability to link excel sheets, where this becomes a reusable model is a charm.
