GHDL
VHDL 2008/93/87 simulator
This directory contains the sources of GHDL, the open-source analyzer, compiler, simulator and (experimental) synthesizer for VHDL, a Hardware Description Language (HDL). GHDL is not an interpreter: it allows you to analyze and elaborate sources for generating machine code from your design. Native program execution is the only way for high-speed simulation. Full support for the 1987, 1993, 2002 versions of the IEEE 1076 VHDL standard, and partial for the 2008 and 2019 revisions. By using a code generator (LLVM, GCC or, x86_64/i386 only, a built-in one), it is much faster than any interpreted simulator. It can handle very large designs, such as leon3/grlib. GHDL runs on GNU/Linux, Windows and macOS; on x86, x86_64, armv6/armv7/aarch32, aarch64 and ppc64. You can freely download nightly assets, use OCI images (aka Docker/Podman containers), or try building it on your own machine. -

Binaryen
Compiler infrastructure and toolchain library for WebAssembly
Binaryen is a compiler and toolchain infrastructure library for WebAssembly, written in C++. It aims to make compiling to WebAssembly easy, fast, and effective. Binaryen has a simple C API in a single header, and can also be used from JavaScript. It accepts input in WebAssembly-like form but also accepts a general control flow graph for compilers that prefer that. Binaryen's internal IR uses compact data structures and is designed for completely parallel codegen and optimization, using all available CPU cores. Binaryen's IR also compiles down to WebAssembly extremely easily and quickly because it is essentially a subset of WebAssembly. Binaryen's optimizer has many passes (see an overview later down) that can improve code size and speed. These optimizations aim to make Binaryen powerful enough to be used as a compiler backend by itself. -

The exciting new version of Scala 3 brings many improvements and new features. Scala 3 is a complete overhaul of the Scala language. At its core, many aspects of the type-system have been changed to be more principled. While this also brings exciting new features along (like union types), first and foremost, it means that the type-system gets (even) less in your way and for instance type-inference and overload resolution are much improved. One underlying core concept of Scala was (and still is to some degree) to provide users with a small set of powerful features that can be combined to great (and sometimes even unforeseen) expressivity. For example, the feature of implicits has been used to model contextual abstraction, to express type-level computation, model type-classes, perform implicit coercions, encode extension methods, and many more. Learning from these use cases, Scala 3 takes a slightly different approach and focuses on intent rather than mechanism. -

Ccache is a compiler cache. It speeds up recompilation by caching previous compilations and detecting when the same compilation is being done again. Ccache is free software, released under the GNU General Public License version 3 or later. Supports GCC, Clang, MSVC (Microsoft Visual C++) and other similar compilers. Works on Linux, macOS, other Unix-like operating systems and Windows. Understands C, C++, assembler, CUDA, Objective-C and Objective-C++. RetDec is a retargetable machine-code decompiler based on LLVM
The decompiler is not limited to any particular target architecture, operating system, or executable file format. ELF, PE, Mach-O, COFF, AR (archive), Intel HEX, and raw machine code supported. 32-bit: Intel x86, ARM, MIPS, PIC32, and PowerPC 64-bit: x86-64 supported. Demangling of symbols from C++ binaries (GCC, MSVC, Borland). Reconstruction of functions, types, and high-level constructs. Output in two high-level languages: C and a Python-like language. Generation of call graphs, control-flow graphs, and various statistics. Detection and reconstruction of C++ class hierarchies (RTTI, vtables). Signature-based removal of statically linked library code. Static analysis of executable files with detailed information. We currently support Windows (7 or later), Linux, macOS, and (experimentally) FreeBSD. An installed version of RetDec requires approximately 5 to 6 GB of free disk space. -

Intel SPMD Program Compiler
ispc is a compiler for a variant of the C programming language, with extensions for single programs, and multiple data programming. Under the SPMD model, the programmer writes a program that generally appears to be a regular serial program, though the execution model is actually that a number of program instances execute in parallel on the hardware. ispc compiles a C-based SPMD programming language to run on the SIMD units of CPUs and GPUs; it frequently provides a 3x or more speedup on architectures with 4-wide vector SSE units and 5x-6x on architectures with 8-wide AVX vector units, without any of the difficulty of writing intrinsics code. Parallelization across multiple cores is also supported by ispc, making it possible to write programs that achieve performance improvement that scales by both numbers of cores and vector unit size. Build a small set of extensions to the C language that would deliver excellent performance to performance-oriented programmers. -

Reko is a binary decompiler
Reko (Swedish: "decent, obliging") is a decompiler for machine code binaries. This project is freely available under the GNU General Public License. The project consists of front ends, core decompiler engine, and back ends to help it achieve its goals. A command line, a Windows GUI, and a ASP.NET front end exist at the time of writing. The decompiler engine receives inputs from the front ends in the form of either individual executable files or decompiler project files. Reko project files contain additional information about a binary file, helpful to the decompilation process or for formatting the output. The decompiler engine then proceeds to analyze the input binary. Reko has the ambition of supporting decompilation of various processor architectures and executable file formats with minimal user intervention. Its main advantages over similar tools are that PyInstaller works with any version of Python since 2.3, it builds smaller executables thanks to transparent compression, it is fully multi-platform, and uses the OS support to load the dynamic libraries, thus ensuring full compatibility. The main goal of PyInstaller is to be compatible with 3rd-party packages out-of-the-box. This means that, with PyInstaller, all the required tricks to make external packages work are already integrated within PyInstaller itself so that there is no user intervention required. You'll never be required to look for tricks in wikis and apply custom modification to your files or your setup scripts. As an example, libraries like PyQt, Django or matplotlib are fully supported, without having to handle plugins or external data files manually. -
