    I get a similar error on the linux install. Fresh out of the box on 8.04 64bit ubuntu box,
    first thing I did was add the viplugin update site.
    running the install wizard i get to the point where I check the plugin to install and I get a notice that there's a configuration error rad plugin and it won't let me install any plugins...

    Please help because this replaces the myEclipse IDE for me.

    I have a similar error. I'm using EasyEclipse for Python 1.3.1, with some other plug-ins installed, including PHPeclipse 1.2.1.200810130444PRD. I'm on Mac OS X 10.5.8 .

    Now the PHPeclipse folks have a new version out. On startup, EasyEclipse software update finds
    PHPeclipse 1.2.3.200910101456PRD and Xdebug Feature 1.2.3.200910101456PRD

    However, software update can't install them, due to error:
    "Eclipse Web tools editors (2.0.1) requires plug-in "system.bundle".

    Searching finds a couple of pages on easyeclipse.org where users complain of this error, but no post with a resolution.
    <http://www.easyeclipse.org/site/plugins/eclipse-dtp.html>
    <http://www.easyeclipse.org/site/plugins/eclipse-wtp-web.html>
    <http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1928287&group_id=131065&atid=719795>
    <http://groups.google.com/group/android-developers/browse_thread/thread/487a529934bfb6bc?pli=1>

    I don't see a way past this error message to update PHPeclipse. Now, I can ignore the messages and continue with my present PHPeclipse. But that's a flawed workaround.

    I don't see any responses to the postings at easyeclipse.org reporting this error. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

    Thank you!
