Peace Equalizer, interface Equalizer APO Reviews

To both you guys (Peter Verbeek and Jonas Thedering) for one of the most important Audio softwares for Windows ever. Always good, it just gets better and better. I am saddened that for all the downloads of this mega-powered stuff, there are only 60 (now) reviews. I write music, and this has changed the way I work with expensive music software. But more importantly for everybody, it daily lets you hear music from other sources, exactly the way I want to.

Peace is a software used to correct / alter the sound coming from your PC. Years ago Creative sells a software called X-Fi MB3 which can be installed in any PC for about 40$. This is more powerful than that if configured properly and yet it costs 0$. Peace runs on the backbone of EQ-APO. While EQ-APO alone is great, it is very basic and requires you to add more plugins. I used to rely on foobar2000 and plenty of DSP to achieve the sound I wanted. But it only works on music files, now with Peace and EQ-APO it works system-wide and I have replaced the DSP on foobar2000 with it! Why? Because not only it works as an interface on top of the EQ-APO layer, it also adds sound effects and graphs which are very important to know what you're doing to alter the sound. Even the 40$ software from Creative doesn't have this (graph).

This is goddamn amazing, I amaze you peverbeek for making such an amazing GUI for the Equalizer APO, this is amazing!

Hi, This bit of software is some of the BEST I've EVER installed on my computer..I can't say enough positive about it. It performs just like it's supposed to in the documentation about it, people are really missing out by not giving it a try. Thanks so much for taking the time and effort for this software !!

Wow! I've been using the EQ that comes with my Asus Maximus IX Code which is ok but doesn't sound like this. This makes everything very clear and sounds so good WOW!!! I will recommend this till its no long supported. I have a pair of Hyper X head phone that did not sound that deep and have clear highs I tried multiple EQ app but this one is the ONE! Like I stated before it has little to no distortion. Play with all the EQ settings and change them when you listen to music or play video games they all need to be tweaked.

Best equalizer available today. I have a 300 USD sound card, Xonar Essence ST which come with a very basic configuration tool, though necessary, but does not provide the advanced options that Equalizer APO provides. With Equalizer APO my 300 Ohm impedance headphones sound no different than actually being in a studio listening to a live production. Equalizer APO also works to help low quality speakers sound like they're of high quality. But don't expect Equalizer APO to improve sound from a low quality logic board to something like Xonar Essence ST or a high quality receiver. Equalizer APO helps to provide users to push their sound card (or receiver) to it's specifications or beyond. Ah, just don't go too beyond because you'll probably end up needing new hardware.

no window,no tray. this eq puts itself directly into windows and makes it not cpu heavy at all. besides that it is parametric with many bands and now easy to configure graphically. THANK YOU

I use this instead of DTS Sound (as provided originally by TOSHIBA Satellite) - whenever I open multiple tabs with youtube and musicbee audio starts crackling unless I turn off the enhancements in DTS Sound app. This Equalizer APO and Peace GUI is a good replacement and I don't have the problems I had anymore.

Searched for an equalizer to work with my new headphones and found a post about my model where you answered that Equalizer APO should work,I searched for it, after I scratched my head on how do I use it,I installed your GUI mentioned in the post, and made everything simple.Thank you Peter.

I've looked on and off for several years for a suitable Windows equalizer, and this is the only one that not only works great, but actually lets me use my surround sound speaker system to its fullest extent. Being able to upmix to 5.1 surround and have it work, where the Windows enhancement version doesn't, blew me away. When I hit upon it, it made me stop everything else I was working on and write this review. The effects panel is incredible! Just looking through the rest of its capabilities is mind numbing. Anyone looking for a Windows equalizer needs to have a look at it - nothing I've found even comes close! Hopefully support and advancement for it continues, because I've found many Sourceforge projects seem to come to a halt. It would be a shame to see that happen to this great project!

This is absolutely the best EQ for Windows, should be stock by now.

Best GUI for the best equalizer on Windows.

1) Trojan:Win32/Bluteal.B!rfn Windows Defender flags this as Trojan/Malware. The file gets deleted immediately which makes it near impossible to add it to Exclusions. Anyone using Windows Defender will have this flagged and it will not even complete downloading. 2) Constant High CPU usage while it sits in the Tray. For no reason at all. Don't remember this being a problem on Windows 7 or the old versions. The latest version however, uses 5-8% CPU for no reason at all. Please FIX YOUR APP.

Peace is a superb graphic equalizer app for Windows PC. The flexibility and ability to customize the equalizer is almost limitless. A recently added Effects feature allows the user to modify and shape the audio in a variety of ways beyond basic equalization. For example, I've used the "Upmix" feature to take a two channel stereo source and "upmix" it to 5.1 surround sound by controlling such parameters as rear channel delay. The support from the developer is also first class with new features - a number suggested by users - added to updated versions of the app.

The program is an easy to use, still takes time to get used to and learn the features but has a really well explained Help section. Features are top notch and will not disappoint. Design is simple and nothing special which pleases me. Few UI bugs I've noticed here and there but nothing major or conflicting. Support has been great and new features are coming in updates.

The only thing holding this back from 5 stars, IMO is the false positive virus result. Aside from this issue that would only scare less-knowledgeable people away, this is a fantastic addition for Equalizer APO. I'd herd of EAPO for a little while but thought the whole config file thing was far too tedious for my liking. I've been looking for a Win7/8/10 compatible EQ for a very long time, and this combo works perfectly for me. Great job!

Hey guys, Windows Defender (in Windows 10) blocked me from downloading this app. My Chrome Browser "Download" menu reads: Peace.exe Failed - Virus detected. Also, I downloaded the Equalizer APO first, and it saved to my desktop, but Windows Defender blocked that one too with the follow error message: Trojan: Win32/Pellate.C!d ...hopefully someone patches this up soon! Update: I now realize there is a "ticket" tab so I'll log this problem there.
